Acne Solutions Forum

People get desparate when they've got acne, especially youth, and snake oil salesmen take advantage to make money. I'd love to see a section about this on the site.

It makes me angry when I see ads for 'instant cures'. I wish there was any such thing but there is not. It is just preying on people's insecurities. It is much better to learn to live with your acne and manage it as best you can, alongside looking after your overall health and wellbeing, instead of seeing it as something that you must get a cure for or else be unhappy.

I think young people are particulalry susceptible to these things as they have not yet learned to be comfortable in their own skin - whether it has got spots on or not! When I was a teenager, all I could see in the mirror were my spots. I totally missed the fact that I was young and pretty. If I had that time again I would make the most of it!
